Henry County Sheriff - Watercraft
The Henry County Sheriff's Office is responsible for patrolling the Maumee River throughout Henry County. The Maumee River is utilized by many for recreation such as boating, water-skiing, and fishing. There is approximately 18 miles of deep navigable waterway for that purpose.
The Sheriff's Marine Patrol is comprised of deputies who have received training in marine patrol and the operation of watercraft. The marine patrol enforces the watercraft laws, conducts safety inspections of various watercrafts, investigates watercraft crashes, conducts search and rescue, and investigates citizen complaints.
