The Chief Deputy of the Henry County Sheriff’s Office is the highest, non-elected, law enforcement position in Henry County, and is second in command at the Sheriff’s Office. 

    Chief Deputy William L. Vocke is a member of the Henry County Sheriff's Office, and Chief Deputy since 1989.  He has served under two prior administrations, Sheriff John M. Casteel, and  Sheriff Irvin K. Flory.  Past positions include, road deputy, sergeant, detective, and was assigned for two years to the Northwest Ohio Major Crime Unit involving six north west Ohio counties, Henry, Defiance, Fulton, Putnam, Van Wert, and Williams.

    Present duties include running daily operations of the office. Overseeing the detective bureau and road division, civil court process, sheriff's sales, sheriff's computer systems, network and the internet WEB page.  Handling of all sheriff's office personnel in regards to scheduling, staffing minimums and payroll.
